Q #2: When is the best time to have you ultrasound my livestock to check for pregnancy?

  • Ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis is a very accurate method of determining the pregnancy status, age, sex, and number of offspring inside the dam. There are windows during the pregnancy that ensures the highest accuracy and enables us to sex the offspring inside.

  • Cattle: 30-90 days bred is the most ideal time to ultrasound
    To fetal sex, the cow needs to be between 60 - 90 days bred

  • Sheep & Goats: 50 - 70 days bred is the most ideal time to ultrasound
