Meet the Team
Brendan J. Martin, DVM
Brendan grew up on a beef cattle, poultry, and row-crop farm in Augusta County, Virginia and has always had a passion for agriculture. During high school, he spent a semester shadowing a local large-animal veterinarian and riding along with him on calls during the day. This fueled his fire to pursue an education in veterinary medicine.
Brendan attended Virginia Tech, where he dual majored in Dairy and Poultry Science and then went on to attend Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia.
After graduation, he jumped headfirst into the the veterinary medicine industry and opened Valley Herd Health, a large-animal mobile veterinary practice.
In May of 2017, he opened the veterinary clinic in Verona, Virginia; a store-front that offers a wide variety of livestock medicine and supplies.
Brendan and his wife, Elaine, live on a beef cattle farm in Augusta County, Virginia where they enjoy feeding and taking care of their beef cattle herd, improving genetics, and watching cattle grow into quality beef!
Elaine Martin, Office Manager
